
Born in 1980, Dublin, Ireland. Lan of Vietnamese origin began an artistic career at a young age in music and art. After moving to London in 1992 she successfully completed her studies in GCSE, A Level and BTEC foundation course in art and design at Middlesex University. She followed her love of art to Central Saint Martins and did her BA Diploma in fashion design and marketing.
With no previous training she built up her knowledge and extensive experience, climbing up the fashion industry ladder. She developed a rapport with an array of talented photographers, which lead to assisting a top news and fashion photographer Steve Wood for 5yrs at London, NY, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Here she discovered her true passion for Make Up.
Focusing on her new found love and teaching herself the basics she quickly progressed up the ranks and herself became well known in the industry, especially as a result of her extremely creative and avant-garde use of colour and texture. She has been head make up artist for a number of fashion shows and high profile events and has also contributed to various ad campaigns and editorials including Russian Vogue, Elle Uk, Tatler and Grazia.
Most recently Lan named overall winner at the National Make Up Awards 2011 as well as winner of the Best Make Up for Studio Shoot category.
