Cher Savery was born in Sheffield and raised in Oxford and was lured to London by fashion and pop culture. Her move to London was precipitated by the opportunity to work at Vidal Sassoon, where she quickly progressed from salon work to the international academies and shows. As a member of the Vidal Sassoon art team she was introduced to the world of session work. The transition from Vidal Sassoon to session hairstylist was guided by the prospect of working with some of the best session stylists in the industry. Such was her success, she became a freelance session worker represented in London, New York, Paris and Milan.
As well as continuing her work as a session stylist, Cher is currently an Editorial Creative Director at the prestigious Aveda Salons, sharing her expertise and knowledge with the Academy Teaching team.
Cher’s work has been featured in many glossy magazines such as; Glamour, US Vogue and advertising campaigns for Burberry, Selfridges, Max Factor and All Saints. She has worked on a number of celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Diane Kruger, Carey Mulligan and Juliette Binoche. And most recently she led her team in the production for the long awaited London launch of exclusive Tom Ford Fragrance at Selfridges – White Patchouli.
